Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

This placeholder policy describes, in plain terms, how AnchoSpot would handle account details, submitted URLs, and usage data. Replace the sample text below with your reviewed legal copy before going live.

A

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how AnchoSpot ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our website, tool, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this document. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

B

Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from third-party sources connected to your account.

  • Account information - name, email address, and password when you sign up.
  • Usage input - target site URLs, anchor text, and destination links you submit to run a placement check.
  • Billing information - plan tier and transaction history, processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Device and log data - IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps.
C

How We Use Information

We use collected information to operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including to:

  • Run placement checks and return relevance-ranked results and drafted copy.
  • Authenticate your account and maintain session security.
  • Send transactional emails such as receipts, check completions, and policy updates.
  • Monitor performance, detect abuse, and debug errors in the discovery pipeline.
  • Communicate product updates, unless you have opted out of marketing messages.
D

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use first-party cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember interface preferences, and understand aggregate usage patterns.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the Service - including staying logged in - may not function correctly without them.

E

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as hosting, search indexing, and payment processing, under confidentiality obligations.
  • When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of AnchoSpot, our users, or the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to affected users.
F

Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account remains active. Submitted check history (target URLs, anchors, and results) is retained for up to 24 months to let you revisit past placements, after which it is automatically purged.

You may request earlier deletion of your data at any time - see Section H below.

G

Data Security

We apply industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review of our infrastructure, to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information you submit to the Service.

H

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
I

International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect information transferred internationally.

J

Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business use by individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we will delete any such information if we become aware of it.

L

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-product notice, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
